Every line, symbol and stud a road, car park or airport needs

Eleven road marking services, each with its own specification page, delivered by the same crews and equipment. Choose a service to see materials, thickness, drying times, standards and what affects the price — or browse all road marking services.

Thermoplastic Road Marking

Hot-applied lane lines, edge lines, arrows, chevrons and crossings for highways and main roads — the longest-lasting option under heavy traffic.

Acrylic Road Marking

Fast-drying, water-based cold paint for internal roads, compounds, cycle lanes and sites that must reopen within the hour.

MMA Cold Plastic Marking

Two-component methyl methacrylate for junctions, box junctions, coloured bus and cycle lanes and anti-skid surfacing.

Car Park, Warehouse & EV Bay Marking

Bay lines, numbering, arrows, disabled bays, forklift lanes, walkways, hatching and green EV charging bays.

Playground Markings

Hopscotch, number grids, mini road layouts and sports courts in non-slip, UV-stable materials for schools and nurseries.

Line Marking Removal

Water-blasting and grinding to remove old, faded or incorrect markings without scarring the road surface.

Airport & Runway Marking

Runway, taxiway, holding position and apron markings applied inside airside closure windows to aviation dimensions.

Road Studs

Supply and installation of reflective aluminium and ceramic studs (cat’s eyes) at the correct spacing and colour code.

Cycle Track Road Markings

Coloured surfacing, bicycle symbols, arrows and separators for Doha’s growing cycle network.

Traffic Signage Boards

Regulatory, warning, directional and site safety signs to Qatar sizes and reflectivity grades, supplied with posts and fixings.

Epoxy Flooring

Seamless, chemical-resistant epoxy floors for basement car parks, warehouses and workshops — coating and bays in one visit.

Firestop, Fireproofing & Other Services

Eighteen specialist services — firestop, fireproofing, GRP lining, concrete coring, FM200 testing and more — on one page.

Which material?

Thermoplastic, cold paint or MMA — specifying the right road marking material

Most road marking enquiries in Qatar come down to one decision: how long must the line last, and how quickly must the road reopen? Hot-applied thermoplastic is the default for highways, main roads, roundabouts and anything carrying heavy traffic. Applied at 2–3 mm with drop-on glass beads, it gives the retro-reflectivity night driving needs and typically outlasts paint several times over in Qatar’s heat and sand abrasion.

Acrylic cold paint is the economical choice for internal roads, compounds, car parks and cycle lanes. It dries to traffic in minutes, is low-odour and water-based, and is easy to refresh on a maintenance cycle. MMA cold plastic is the premium two-component system for junctions, coloured lanes and anti-skid surfacing — it bonds chemically to the asphalt or concrete, holds colour for years and is the specification of choice where high-friction or coloured surfacing is called for.

Whatever the material, the line only lasts if the basics are right: a clean, dry surface, correct application temperature, consistent film thickness and the right bead loading. Our engineers confirm all of this on the free site visit and record it on handover, together with the material data sheets that consultants ask for during submittal review.

Not sure which specification applies to your project? Read our guide to thermoplastic vs cold paint road marking in Qatar, or send us the drawings and we will recommend the material line by line.

Why UniGulf Traffic

A road marking contractor main contractors can rely on

Own equipment

Thermoplastic pre-heaters and screed applicators, airless spray line stripers, bead dispensers and removal equipment are ours — no waiting on hired plant.

Night-shift & closure windows

Crews are set up for lane closures, night works and airside or live-traffic sites where the marking window is a few hours, not a few days.

10+ years in Qatar

A decade of highways, car parks, airports and industrial sites in Qatar heat, dust and traffic — and the materials that survive it.

Itemised quotations

Every quotation is broken down by line type, length or area, material and mobilisation so QS teams can compare and approve it quickly.

How we work

Our road marking process — survey to handover

01

Site visit & survey

An engineer measures the site, checks the surface condition, confirms the layout against your drawings or the QCS/Ashghal standard and agrees access, traffic management and working hours.

02

Setup & surface preparation

Traffic control is placed, old or faded lines are removed if required, and the surface is cleaned, dried and primed where the material specification calls for it.

03

Application

Markings are set out and applied with our own machines — thermoplastic, cold paint or MMA — with glass beads dropped on for retro-reflectivity and thickness checked during the run.

04

Inspection & handover

Dimensions, colour, thickness and reflectivity are checked, snags are closed the same visit, and you receive a handover with material data sheets for your submittal file.

FAQ

Road marking in Qatar — questions we answer every week

Straight answers for QS teams, consultants and facility managers. Anything else — call +974 5556 3941.

Choose a contractor that owns its equipment, applies to QCS/Ashghal conventions and can provide material data sheets for submittal. UniGulf Traffic has marked highways, car parks, airports and industrial sites across Qatar for more than ten years with its own thermoplastic, cold paint and MMA crews, and provides an itemised quotation after a free site visit.
Price depends on the material (acrylic paint is the most economical, thermoplastic mid-range, MMA cold plastic premium), the line width and total length or area, whether old lines must be removed, and access constraints such as night work or lane closures. We quote per linear metre for lines and per unit for arrows, symbols, studs and bays, and every quotation is itemised so it can be compared line by line.
On a correctly prepared surface, hot-applied thermoplastic at 2–3 mm with the right bead loading typically gives several years of service on main roads before retro-reflectivity drops below the maintenance threshold. Cold paint on the same road lasts a fraction of that, which is why thermoplastic is the default for highways and MMA for high-stress junctions.
Yes. Most highway, junction and airport marking in Qatar is done at night or inside approved closure windows. Our crews are set up for traffic management, lane closures and airside procedures, and we plan the application sequence so the road reopens on time.
All of them. We mobilise from Doha to Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Lusail, Al Khor, Mesaieed, Ras Laffan, the Industrial Area and Birkat Al Awamer, with the same crews and equipment.
The site location, the approximate area or the number of bays, and any drawings or a marked-up plan if you have one. Send it by WhatsApp, email or the quote form and we will arrange a site visit and send an itemised quotation — usually the same working day.
