Overview
Car park line marking in Qatar is where UniGulf Traffic does some of its most detailed work: hundreds of bays set out to the millimetre in a basement, warehouse floors zoned for forklifts and pedestrians, and EV charging bays marked to the layout the operator specifies. We measure, mark out, apply and number the whole layout with our own crews, so a new mall, tower, compound or logistics facility opens with a car park that reads clearly and passes inspection first time.
A car park is a small road network with more decisions per square metre than a highway: bay width and length, aisle width, one-way flows, disabled and family bays, pillars, ramps, height limits, EV charging, motorcycle bays and pedestrian routes. We work from your consultant’s drawings where they exist and, where they do not, we lay out to the parking dimensions used in Qatar — commonly 2.5 m wide by 5.0–5.5 m long standard bays with 6.0 m aisles for 90° parking, wider accessible bays with hatched transfer zones, and clear turning at ramps — then confirm the layout with you before any material is applied.
Warehouse floor marking follows the same discipline with a different vocabulary: yellow forklift lanes, green pedestrian walkways, red-and-white hatching at fire equipment and doors, blue storage zones and black-and-yellow hazard edges, all in materials that survive solid tyres and pallet trucks.

Send the site location and any drawings. We survey free of charge and quote line by line, usually the same day.
What we do
From a single loading bay to a multi-storey car park, in paint, thermoplastic or epoxy:
Materials & specification
The right material depends on the floor. Outdoor asphalt car parks take water-based acrylic paint or, for long-life entrances and arrows, thermoplastic. Basement and multi-storey concrete decks take acrylic or, on power-floated and coated floors, epoxy or polyurethane line paint that bonds to the slab and resists tyre scuffing and cleaning chemicals. Warehouses with heavy forklift traffic are best marked in two-part epoxy or MMA, which survive solid tyres far longer than road paint. EV bays are green-surfaced with a white EV symbol, either in coloured MMA or epoxy for durability or in paint for budget layouts.
All lines are applied at 100 mm width unless the drawing says otherwise, with glass beads in outdoor and ramp areas for night visibility. Numbers and symbols are stencilled to a consistent font and size across the whole car park.
| Materials | Water-based acrylic; thermoplastic (asphalt); two-part epoxy / PU line paint (concrete); MMA (heavy duty, coloured) |
|---|---|
| Line width | 100 mm standard; 75 mm warehouse aisles; 150 mm where specified |
| Typical bay sizes | Standard approx. 2.5 × 5.0–5.5 m; accessible bays wider with hatched transfer zone; aisles approx. 6.0 m for 90° bays — confirmed against the project standard |
| EV bays | Green bay surface or border with white EV symbol; hatching at charger; signage available |
| Warehouse colours | Yellow lanes, green walkways, red/white fire hatching, black/yellow hazard, blue storage |
| Drying / reopening | Acrylic 30–60 min; epoxy overnight; MMA 20–40 min; thermoplastic 15 min |
| Reflectivity | Glass beads on outdoor and ramp markings |
| Standards referenced | QCS car park clauses; Ashghal / municipality parking standards; client or operator layouts for EV |
| Surface | Asphalt, concrete, interlock, epoxy-coated floors (with adhesion test) |
| Expected life in Qatar | Paint 1–3 years; epoxy / MMA / thermoplastic several years |
Where it is used
Malls, office towers, residential compounds, hospitals, hotels, schools and universities, metro park-and-ride sites, logistics warehouses, cold stores, factories, workshops and vehicle yards. Basement car parks are our most common job — many of them combined with epoxy flooring so the deck is sealed and marked in one visit. Warehouse layouts are usually delivered alongside racking installation, and EV bays are increasingly added to existing car parks as chargers are installed. If a layout changes, our line marking removal service takes the old bays out cleanly before we re-mark.

How we work
An engineer measures the site, checks the surface condition, confirms the layout against your drawings or the QCS/Ashghal standard and agrees access, traffic management and working hours.
Traffic control is placed, old or faded lines are removed if required, and the surface is cleaned, dried and primed where the material specification calls for it.
Markings are set out and applied with our own machines — thermoplastic, cold paint or MMA — with glass beads dropped on for retro-reflectivity and thickness checked during the run.
Dimensions, colour, thickness and reflectivity are checked, snags are closed the same visit, and you receive a handover with material data sheets for your submittal file.
Why UniGulf Traffic
Thermoplastic pre-heaters and screed applicators, airless spray line stripers, bead dispensers and removal equipment are ours — no waiting on hired plant.
Crews are set up for lane closures, night works and airside or live-traffic sites where the marking window is a few hours, not a few days.
A decade of highways, car parks, airports and industrial sites in Qatar heat, dust and traffic — and the materials that survive it.
Every quotation is broken down by line type, length or area, material and mobilisation so QS teams can compare and approve it quickly.
Site conditions & price
Car park marking is quoted per bay (line and number), per symbol and per linear metre of aisle line, hatching and walkway. The biggest cost drivers are the number of bays and symbols, the material specified and whether the car park is empty or live. An empty new basement is fast; an occupied mall car park must be done in overnight sections with vehicles cleared, which adds shifts. Concrete decks may need grinding or degreasing where curing compound, dust or oil would stop the line bonding. Warehouse floors often need the racking layout finalised before we can set out — we can mark to the racking drawing before the racks arrive, which is usually the most efficient sequence.
For EV bays the operator’s layout — symbol size, hatching, signage and charger clearance — is confirmed before application, so the bays are compliant with the charging network’s requirements.
