Freshly applied lane lines and directional arrows on a new road in Qatar by UniGulf Traffic

One contractor, every marking

Road marking in Doha and across Qatar — from highway lane lines to a single car park

Road marking services in Qatar are usually procured in a hurry: the asphalt is down, the handover date is fixed and the lines are the last item before the road or car park opens. UniGulf Traffic is set up for exactly that. We survey within a day, quote line by line, and apply with our own thermoplastic, cold paint and MMA equipment so the programme does not depend on hired plant or a subcontractor’s subcontractor.

Every service below has its own page with the material specification, typical thickness, drying and cure times, expected life in Qatar’s climate and the factors that move the price. Read the page that matches your scope, or send us the drawings and we will recommend the material for each line.

Send us your scope

Site location, approximate area or number of bays, and any drawings. We reply with a site visit slot and an itemised quotation — usually the same working day.

Whatever the material, the line only performs if the surface is clean and dry, the application temperature is right and the bead loading is consistent. Our free site visit confirms the surface condition before we quote, and the handover pack records what was applied. Standards

Applied to QCS and Ashghal / QTCM conventions

Line widths, colours, symbol geometry, material thickness and retro-reflectivity on Qatar’s public roads follow the Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and the Ashghal / Qatar Traffic Control Manual (QTCM) conventions. Private sites — car parks, warehouses, compounds — usually reference the same standards through the consultant’s specification or the QCS car park clauses.

We set out from the approved drawings, apply to the specified thickness and bead loading, and hand over with product data sheets, application records and bead certificates. That is what a main contractor needs for the submittal file and what a consultant checks at inspection. For a full explanation of approvals and documents, read our approved vendor and material submittal guide.

Set-out from drawings

Lines, bays and symbols measured and chalked from approved layouts before application.

Thickness & temperature

Wet-film and dry-film checks during the run; thermoplastic applied at the correct melt temperature.

Retro-reflectivity

Glass beads dropped on at the specified loading so lines are visible at night and in dust.

Handover documents

Data sheets, method statements and application records for the submittal file.

Thermoplastic pre-heaters and screed applicators, airless spray line stripers, bead dispensers and removal equipment are ours — no waiting on hired plant.

Night-shift & closure windows

Crews are set up for lane closures, night works and airside or live-traffic sites where the marking window is a few hours, not a few days.

10+ years in Qatar

A decade of highways, car parks, airports and industrial sites in Qatar heat, dust and traffic — and the materials that survive it.

Itemised quotations

Every quotation is broken down by line type, length or area, material and mobilisation so QS teams can compare and approve it quickly.

How we work

Our road marking process — survey to handover

01

Site visit & survey

An engineer measures the site, checks the surface condition, confirms the layout against your drawings or the QCS/Ashghal standard and agrees access, traffic management and working hours.

02

Setup & surface preparation

Traffic control is placed, old or faded lines are removed if required, and the surface is cleaned, dried and primed where the material specification calls for it.

03

Application

Markings are set out and applied with our own machines — thermoplastic, cold paint or MMA — with glass beads dropped on for retro-reflectivity and thickness checked during the run.

04

Inspection & handover

Dimensions, colour, thickness and reflectivity are checked, snags are closed the same visit, and you receive a handover with material data sheets for your submittal file.

Areas we serve

Road marking across Doha and all of Qatar

Our crews mobilise from Doha to every municipality in Qatar. Most sites inside Doha, Al Rayyan, Lusail and Al Wakrah are surveyed within a working day; Al Khor, Mesaieed, Ras Laffan and the Industrial Area are scheduled with the same crews and the same equipment. Night works and closure windows are planned around your traffic management approvals.

Eleven services: thermoplastic road marking, acrylic (cold paint) marking, MMA cold plastic marking, car park / warehouse / EV bay line marking, playground markings, line marking removal, airport and runway marking, road studs, cycle track markings, traffic signage boards and epoxy flooring. Each has its own specification page linked above.
Thermoplastic for highways, main roads, roundabouts and anything with heavy traffic; acrylic cold paint for internal roads, compounds and car parks where cost and quick reopening matter; MMA cold plastic for junctions, coloured lanes and anti-skid surfacing. If a consultant specification exists, we follow it; if not, we recommend line by line after the site visit.
Yes. We work to Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and Ashghal / QTCM conventions for line widths, colours, symbols, material thickness and glass bead reflectivity, and we supply the material data sheets and application records used for submittal.
For most sites in Doha, Al Rayyan, Lusail and Al Wakrah we survey within a working day and can usually start within days of approval, depending on traffic management permits. Night works and closure windows are planned around your approvals.
Yes. Water-blasting and grinding removal is offered as a separate service or bundled with re-marking when a layout changes or old lines are faded or incorrect.
We can give a budget price from drawings for planning purposes, but the itemised quotation follows a free site visit so that surface condition, access and removal requirements are priced correctly and there are no surprises on site.
